New Jersey authorities fulfilled specifically with agents of the Lakewood Vaad, an Orthodox Jewish group while preparing a questionable Medicaid scams amnesty program, the Asbury Park Press reported recently.
The amnesty program, used just in Ocean County, New Jersey, permitted Medicaid scammers to pay back illicit advantages without dealing with the prosecution. The program followed authorities detained more than a lots member of Lakewood’s Orthodox neighborhood on Medicaid scams charges this spring. Critics of the amnesty program charged that it preferred the Orthodox neighborhood.
The Asbury Park Press’s report found that New Jersey authorities satisfied just with Vaad agents while preparing the amnesty deal. Leaders of local Hispanic and African-American groups stated they were taken by surprise when the program was revealed.
